Choral Études premiere

The launch event for the LCO New: Explore 'Inspired by Architecture' call for scores scheme which Dónal manages for London Chamber Orchestra. Irish Composers' Collective November 2009 Concert
A concert of works by composers from the Irish Composers' Collective at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Dónal will have a new work for cello and vibraphone premiered at this concert titled What Lies (is) Concealed.

York ICC Performance Day

Ionian Singers Concert

Hesse Student concert
A concert of classical and contemporary favourites performed by the first week Hesse students of the Aldeburgh Music Festival 2009. This year's concert includes the premiére of a short new work A-l-D-E-B-u-r-G-H by Dónal Rafferty written during the week for the Hesse students to perform.

KCL Stranded Ensemble Gala Concert
An evening of music composed by students from King's College London performed by the resident contemporary music ensemble. PhD student Ewan Campbell shall be conducting.
Dónal will have his string quartet Exponential (2007) performed at this concert. He will also participate as pianist with the ensemble in a performance of a new work by King's PhD student Christian Mason entitled Episodes in the Life of a Line.

York Collaboration Day
A day dedicated to the performance of new music by composers from King's College London and The Universities of York, Durham and Manchester. Groups from each University will perform works by composers from other Universities. The Stranded Ensemble from King's, conducted by Ewan Campbell, will feature Dónal on celesta and piano.
